How we ask
We ask the wallet behind the name to write us a bill for 21 satoshis. Writing a bill costs nothing and pays nothing, so we can ask every name, every hour, for free. If the wallet writes it, money can very probably reach that person. If it will not, it cannot.

DNS record, for 21,000 millisatoshis. It is an onion-message round trip, not a payment,
so it needs no channel and moves nothing.

We are paying the ones that can
Claim a name from today onwards, make sure it can take a payment, and we send you 21 satoshis. Once each, first come, until the pot is empty. There is nothing to send us and nothing to sign up for.
Names that were already here before we started are still checked and still counted above. They are just not in the payout, because the payout is for people arriving now.
Why so small
Because the point is not the money. The point is that we could send it to you knowing only your name. You never gave us an address, and we never asked for one.
Why some wallets say no
Most wallets need a payment channel open before they can receive anything, and opening one costs a fee. A brand new wallet has no channel, so a tiny payment cannot cover the cost of making room for itself, and the wallet turns it down. That is not your fault and it is not a bug. It is what receiving small amounts is like today.
Phoenix, for example, refuses an incoming payment whose fee would come to more than half the amount. A 21 satoshi payment into a wallet with no channel fails that test every time. Receive something larger first and it works from then on.
What we can and cannot prove
Each payment below has a receipt code next to it. That code only exists if the payment was really settled, so it is real evidence and not a screenshot. What it cannot prove is how the money felt at the other end, so if you got one and it arrived, say so.
The code is the payment preimage. It is revealed only when the invoice settles, so holding it is proof the payment completed. A wallet writing us an invoice is a strong signal and not a guarantee: it can still bounce at settlement, which is why the check and the payment are two separate columns and never merged into one.
Is this a giveaway?
No. We send money out and we never ask for any. There is no link to click before you get paid, no wallet to connect, and nothing to send first. If anyone ever asks you to send bitcoin to receive more back, that is a scam, every single time, including if it looks like it came from us.
Where these names come from
Every name here is already public. Each one is written in our change log the moment it is created, and the answer next to it comes only from that name's own public record. We are not publishing anything we know privately, and we hold nothing private about you anyway.
